About the Author

Eleanor Hayes wears lots of hats, one of which involves being super enthusiastic about wild garlic! She even has an entire instagram account dedicated to it! She loves walking in the Somerset countryside, where she lives, and enjoying nature in all its glory: hills, fields, woods, rivers, she’s not fussy.

She has a classical music radio show & podcast (Classicalvibes.uk), has authored a few different books from a previous career (on childbirth), is an enthusiastic tuba player and co-chair of her local Orchestra (Frome Symphony) and runs a successful web design Agency for her day job.

She originally wrote a book of wild garlic recipes as a purely vanity / fun project and using her experience in book publishing to write, edit, index, typeset and self-publish the entire book in 2018. It had a great reception and some lovely reviews, although it came under criticism from one reader who complained that the book was a bit small and basic for a cookbook.

Her instinct was to take this feedback and create the biggest and best (and only) wild garlic recipe bible out there. She feels confident she has achieved that with over 100 recipes included, upgrading the format and design and making it feel like a “proper” cookbook.

Her next plan is to publish her recipes online and add to them, possibly even bring out an app. Watch this space.
